I was reviewing your site on SU and saw this post, and I was groaning inside because these are just ridiculous. The rest of the blog is great, but I could have done without seeing these promoted! :-P~~

I quite like these cards but I do think the designers of them should actually fix the width, as every one i have seen and gone to stumbleupon photo blog it it says width to big, so they should actually sort it out to make it easier, as its nice to see the actual images on the page without having to fart about with it and save and get it rehosted elsewhere. As I have just been posting the links
Comment by Daughter of Hell — February 14, 2008 @ 3:44 pm
Congratulations. I, as many others, dislike stumblecards and thumb them down. I also, as some others, thumbs down as much as I can on your site just because you pissed me off, and give you a bad review. Again, enjoy your card.
Comment by Frank — February 14, 2008 @ 3:55 pm
Duh! I don’t get it! Why do we need to collect these? And the reason is…..? I am of an age, I don’t do card’s?

While a lot of people hate the idea of stumblecards, for whatever reason, there is also a large majority of people who actually like the idea and collect them.
I’ve seen some really crappy ideas for getting more traffic for websites, many of which the masses seem to just love, this on the other hand a lot of people hate. This is why I love it, but aside from that, Internet trading cards I think are an interesting idea. So I will collect them.
Comment by William Burns — February 14, 2008 @ 5:18 pm
It’s a nice viral concept. http://virtual-trading-cards.com has the same kind of concept with their limited edition gold border cards, they post them a few days on the website and then you must rely on getting them through e-mail or bloggers posting them up, I got one of their gold border card up here at : http://virtualogik.com/limited_edition_v_cards.htm , I would post more there if I get them.

Stumblecards are.. as pointless as possible. Seeing as Stumble has a very very very simple “Search” Function. Just enter “Stumblecard” and bam, you get to one, its a stupid idea.
Comment by Scarleth — February 14, 2008 @ 10:19 pm
So does this mean that the ‘motivational posters’/demotivators craze is over? are we just going to remake all those into stumblecard format? where’s my I haz a buckit stumblecard?

Stupid, pointless, and yes gay, that’s why I’m totally okay with it. Life can’t be all seriousness, work, and complaining about stuff that shouldn’t irk anybody. Pointless, yes, but more importantly, harmless. Their just silly cards that can make a lot of people smile and if they don’t, it takes all of .02 seconds to hit that stumble button again.
Comment by Etherpirate — February 15, 2008 @ 12:28 am
Can I trade this card for a cool one?
Anyone??
(cricket.)
Who has time to design this stuff???
Comment by Karis — February 15, 2008 @ 12:48 am
This is kind of silly, but I like it anyway. If people dislike it they can just hit stumble again and move on.
Comment by Christian — February 15, 2008 @ 12:49 am

Do these cards carry any value?
I have been collecting them since they first came out, and would like to know if there is a market for them - I mean, I have printed them out and would like to sell or swap for items of value. Maybe on ebay or even in 2nd Life…any idea on what I should do?
Comment by Hizzoner — February 15, 2008 @ 5:58 am
Has anyone found any great hidden surprises out of it…!! and does any one know of any other similar pages…

Yes, I have an idea of what you should do - remove yourself from the gene pool
Comment by rzm61 — February 15, 2008 @ 6:05 pm
The Stumble cards are just pages that you ignore by the thousands.
Why get so rattled?
There are just as many pages out there on changing baby diapers. Waste your energy on these pages or seriously re-arrange your priorities. Give us a break already.
Really!! If you can become so upset about an issue this stupid. Maybe you should give up activities like StumbleUpon, and do something else.
Comment by Ben — February 15, 2008 @ 8:58 pm
Stumblecards are nothing but spam. I make it a practice to thumb-down every site that hosts a stumblecard, and flag those who spread them as spammers.
Fail.

Comment by jose luis — February 19, 2008 @ 10:02 am
Hahahahaha… I love stumblecards! You know why? Because it gets everyone upset! Ok. Settle down everyone. Take a deep breath. Might i suggest going outside, to see the light of day for a change?
If you dont like stumblecards, you can always move the pointer over the button that looks like a thumbs-down. Is it familiar? Of course it is! You dont like anything you stumble on! Well anyways, all you have to do now is press down your right index finger, and WHAMMO! Problem solved. You have successfully achieved this thing called “idiocy.”

Stumble cards! I must have them all to be a master stumbler!
Comment by Benj — February 19, 2008 @ 9:09 pm
Astonished that none of the previous 76 comments have mentioned that the chap performing said piledriver is clearly ‘Zangief’ of Streetfighter 2 fame - a fact which instantly increases the cards manliness by around 1000%
Comment by Al — March 20, 2008 @ 4:05 am
Correction: Not Zangief (although he does perform a piledriver) but Haggar, or Final Fight fame.
